Key Responsibilities
As the Clinical Nurse Specialist – Critical Care & NICU, you will:

• Serve as a clinical expert and consultant in critical care and neonatal intensive care nursing

• Support nursing staff in evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, and complex case management

• Lead educational initiatives and training for new and existing staff in both the ICU and NICU

• Collaborate with physicians, educators, and administrators to implement clinical improvements and protocols

• Drive performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and patient satisfaction

• Analyze outcome data to assess unit performance and make recommendations for improvement

• Assist with policy development, orientation programs, and competency validations

• Provide direct patient care consultation in high-risk or complex scenarios

Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN license with Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) certification

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with CNS specialization required

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in critical care and/or NICU nursing

• National certification in critical care (CCRN) or neonatal care (NNP-BC or equivalent) preferred

• Strong clinical leadership, education, and communication skills

• Proven ability to implement evidence-based practices and influence systems-level improvements
