Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Key Responsibilities
As a CRNA in this role, you will:

• Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for surgical, diagnostic, and obstetric procedures

• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments, develop anesthesia plans, and obtain informed consent

• Monitor patient vital signs, depth of anesthesia, and response to surgery and medications

• Manage patient airways, IVs, and medications throughout the perioperative period

• Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff

• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes during and after procedures

• Maintain detailed and accurate anesthesia records in the electronic health system

• Stay current with clinical best practices and participate in departmental quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse and CRNA licensure

• Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program

• Current NBCRNA certification

• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS preferred

• Minimum of 1–2 years of CRNA experience (new grads with strong clinical rotations will be considered)

• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
