Key Responsibilities of a Long Term Care Certified/Licensed Nursing Assistant:

Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.

Monitoring and recording vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.

Assisting residents with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting and transferring techniques.
-
Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
-
Responding promptly to residents’ needs and requests, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Assisting with medication management, ensuring residents receive the correct medication at the scheduled time.

Reporting any changes in residents’ condition or concerns to the nursing team.

Documenting accurate and detailed records of residents’ care and progress.

Following all healthcare regulations, protocols, and facility policies and procedures.
Requirements of the CNA/LNA:

Valid NY Certfied Nursing Assistant (CNA/LNA) Licence

Current BLS certification

Minimum of 1 year experience in a Long Term Care setting as an CNA/LNA
