Key Responsibilities of the Acute Care CNA
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
- Support patient comfort and maintain a safe, clean environment
- Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and transport within the facility
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements of the Acute Care CNA
- Active Hawaii CNA certification
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in an acute care or hospital setting
- Strong communication skills and compassionate patient care approach
