CERNER EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. ARRT, CCI, RCIS Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Experience: Two years experience as Registered Radiologic Technologist – RCIS. Completion of 500hrs PCI certified working in a Cardiac Cath Lab in Hospital with Open Heart Surgery program Licenses/Certifications: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Current Florida License. Registry eligible will require 1 year to obtain there Registry. BLS and ACLS certification required. The Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists (RCIS) or Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) perform all required procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory operate specialized equipment including, but not limited to, PACS computer systems, hemodynamic monitoring and have working knowledge of all aspects of the cardiac catheterization laboratory emergency patient care equipment. Trains staff technologists in the roles that are consistent in the cath lab: (1) Scrub: scrubs in, preps and drapes the patient, then assist the physician with equipment. Equipment includes wires, needles, catheters and medication. (2) Circulate: Moves about the lab during the procedure to providing equipment to the scrub tech as needed. Also attends the needs of the patient as well as managing the IV drugs. (3) Monitor: Watches over the vital signs during the procedure. Documents the procedure and creates a medical record. Records the intra cardiac/peripheral pressures. Is responsible for interdepartmental communications.
