Travelers must have at least Cath Lab experience, but Cath Lab AND IR experience is preferred. Needs to be at Level III or higher Trauma CenterWill you accept a first-time traveler? YesPatient Types/Common Diagnoses:Cath Lab (required): LHC/RHC, diagnostic, interventional, IABPs, Rotablator, STEMIs/MIs, pacemakers, gen changes, MICRAs; Impella experience preferred.No EP/ablations done at this timeIR (experience preferred, can teach): Chemo/coil embolizations, nephrostomy tubes/nephroureteral stents, central lines, ports, G/GJ tubes from scratch and exchanges, IVC filter, tunneled and temporary dialysis catheters, Inari/Penumbra/EKOS for clots, shockwave. Will assist CT/MRI with biopsies. No Neuro IR or Y90s done here.Hybrid (experience preferred, can teach): AAA grafts, peripheral/AO runoffs, fistulogramsEach room utilizes 3 person teamsNO CVOR backup on site, so no staged/protected PCIs/CTOsCases per day:7-14Required Licensure Certifications:RN: BLS, ACLSRT: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS certifiedSkills required:RN: read/interpret EKGs, circulate, sedate, transport. Can monitor cases if they know how and want to, but not required. If there is no ICU RN to take an IABP, then the patient will be transported to Tacoma General. The Cath Lab RN will travel with the patient and be responsible for the IABP; cheat sheets available with machineRT: scrub and pan simultaneously, room turnover, transport. Preferred that they have experience with the Assist and Manifold.Support within the Department:No transporterScheduler will schedule casesCharge nurse or Lead Tech on any given dayPhlebotomy: 24/7RT: 24/7Hospitalist: 24/7IR and Cardiologist there working during the day. On call if needed and at nightIntensivist there during the day, on call at nightTechnology/Equipment:EMR: EPICIV Pump: AlarisMed dispensing: PyxisHemodynamic monitoring: Maclab, but will be transitioning to Merge late 2024All C-arms: GEInjector: Assist and MedRadFloating: If yes, where?Tech may need to float to OR at some point to assist with vascular cases. If traveler is uncomfortable with this, manager can work around thisOrientation(facility and unit):MHS NEO orientationIf traveler has no IR experience, they ll be allotted a couple of weeks of orientation. If they have IR experience, will get about 1 week of orientation.Travelers will take buddy call during orientationRN will be required to take MHS Tele test prior to arrivalScheduling:Weekend rotation: Call only,see belowOn call? Yes1-2 call shifts during the week, EOS until the following morning1 weekend per month, EOS Friday Monday morning30-minute response time2 Techs and 1 RN for call team; rarely 2 RNs and 1 TechHoliday Expectations: call only, every otherApproval of RTO: up to 7 days, send for approval for holidays or more than 7 daysShift times: All staff do 10h shifts, 0630-1600.
