Devon County Council is seeking an experienced and proactive Locum Social Worker to join their Adolescents Team, supporting vulnerable young people facing complex challenges. This role focuses on working with teenagers at risk of exploitation, family breakdown, offending, or exclusion, with the aim of promoting stability and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of adolescents aged 12–18 with a focus on safeguarding, engagement, and long-term planning.

Undertake assessments, care planning, and direct interventions tailored to the unique needs of teenagers.

Work collaboratively with families, schools, youth justice, health, and other professionals to provide coordinated support.

Develop strong, trusting relationships with young people to encourage participation in planning and decision-making.

Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, reviews, and court proceedings where required.

Ensure all work is compliant with statutory duties, Devon County Council policies, and professional standards.
