1. Patient to nurse ration 3:1 with several instances of 4:1. This includes patients with airways and on the vent/drips. 2. Leadership is very defensive when approached with safety concerns. "We've always done it this way....the problem is not us."3. Never once during the 2 weeks I was there was I given a lunch break. I was told I could grab a quick bite after most of the patients left the PACU which was never before 5pm. 4. The Computer on Wheels had batteries that did not hold a charge so they had to stay plugged in throughout the shift which made scanning patient armbands impossible. I brought his up to the director who said I would have to place a request to biomed, which I didn't have access to because I was not a staff nurse.5. Other travel nurses I worked with there told me they had equally bad experiences and just kept their heads down until the contract was over.This hospital is a dumpster fire, and I would not feel refer anyone there. For the sake of your license and peace of mind, bypass this one!
