(Dept 0243) in Newport News, but we would require some flexibility to work at our other 2 UCs (Volvo Parkway in Chesapeake and Va Beach BLVD in VA Beach) if needed. The primary location would be at Tech Center.-The position will be 3 shits per week, which includes every other weekend (Sat/Sun).-Hours will be 930am until the last patient is discharged, which can be anywhere from 8pm-10pm, possibly later but not normally. If the assignment period goes through the end of November, the candidate will be requested to work Thanksgiving. We do have shorter hours that day we are open 10am to 6pm. Number of Beds/Cases: 8 beds and a procedure roomTop 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: Asthma exacerbation, injuries, viral illnesses, strep, UTI s, fevers, bronchospasmsAny special procedure done on the unit? Splints, ear flushes, eye flushes, straight catheterization, IV placement, EKG sNurse Patient Ratio: We see 60-130 patients a day, depending on location and season. We are a walk-in clinic. What areas require floating? There are 3 centers. Floating is required only under special circumstances, such as call outs.Patient care delivery system (EG, Primary Care, Team Nursing): It is more based on Primary Nursing but it is a hybrid.Do you use computerized charting?
