We’re looking for Pediatric Emergency Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in San Francisco, CA. The right RN will have at least 1-2 years of recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements:
As a Pediatric ER Travel Nurse, you will work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions. RNs should have experience and skill caring for pediatric patients in a fast-paced, urgent and emergency environment.
Pediatric Emergency Room RNs will perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs. Other responsibilities as a Pediatric ER Travel Nurse include documenting medical history, checking for any allergies the patients might have, obtaining patients’ vital signs, and monitoring patients’ emotional and physical well-being.
As a Pediatric ER Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
- Provide basic bedside care to pediatric patients
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality in nurse/child relationships
- Participate in activities to manage a child’s pain
- Evaluate a child for signs and symptoms of abuse
- Serve as a child advocate
2 years experience, ACLS, BLS, PALS, Experience in a teaching hospital, a completed travel assignment within the past 12 monthsPreferred certs: BSN, CEN/CPEN certification, ENPC
