Minimum 3 years of experience and a current New York State license required. Must have Basic Life Support (BLS). Every other weekend/holiday. Travel experience preferred. Critical drip and CVA experience a plus, at least one year of current experience with the telemetry population. NIH Stroke Cert required. Must have EPIC experience. Caregivers will be deployed from the Care Coordinator Center to where they are needed. Will spend time in ER for ER hold patients. Every other weekend/holiday. MUST have EPIC experience. **THE FACILITY CAN CANCEL UP TO 5 SHIFTS PER CONTRACT. **THIS UNIT WILL NOT ACCEPT TRAVELERS FROM THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN NY: WARREN, WASHINGTON, FULTON, MONTGOMERY, RENSSELAER, SARATOGA, SCHENECTADY, COLUMBIA, GREENE, DUTCHESS, ULSTER, ALBANY.**Requirements:At least two years recent experience in the field, current BLS certification, and a current nursing license per the state of assignment. Med or religious doc needed 10 days before start.Unit details:**Facility has COUNTY RESTRICTIONS** The Caregiver cannot reside in the following counties: WARREN, WASHINGTON, FULTON, MONTGOMERY, RENSSELAER, SCHENECTADY, COLUMBIA, GREENE, DUTCHESS, ULSTER, ALBANY. CHARTING: EPIC. – Day shift 1:4-5, Night Shift 1:5-6 – 40 beds – The patient population is adult and geriatric. Types of services provided are for the medical/surgical inpatient, with a focus on patients requiring telemetry monitoring, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, critical drugs and critical drips. May also deal with patients in ER hold. The caregiver will be required to take an ECG exam once they arrive at the facility. Study material is provided before start. If the caregiver does not get an 85% or higher or misses critical rhythms, the contract may be terminated. This is a timed, closed book exam. Study guide will be sent from the hospital. We STRONGLY encourage review of this before the caregiver starts. Candidates that have worked as staff at this facility in the past year will not be considered, and candidates that have worked full-time as staff within the AMC network (AMC, GFH, Saratoga, and CMH) within the past six months will not be considered.
