This includes pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of cath process, post-cath care, patient education. Scrubs in for procedures and assists other members of the cardiac catheterization laboratory.Performs nursing care of the catheterization/angiography patient. Operates equipment, i.e., cardiac output, hemodynamic, pacemakers/ICD s, intraaortic balloon pump, etc. Transfers patients, stocks supplies and performs basic office procedures. Scrubs in for procedures with the physician (not required, but preferred)Records all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets. Submission requirements: This position is listed as Cath Lab, but the expectation is that they would also be helping to cover and provide nursing support to our IR procedures and pre/post procedure care.Cath Lab Experience -RequiredInterventional Radiology experience -Highly Preferred1+ Years of experience in Electrophysiology -Highly PreferredCardiac Rhythm Interpretation –Highly PreferredKnowledge operation of intraaortic balloon pump -Highly PreferredProfile Requirements:Work HistorySkills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two yearsCandidates’ Permanent Address(Facility will not consider local candidates – 50-mile radius restriction) Rate:135 OnCall:UP to 12 shifts a month WeekendDescription:Weekends and holidays would be only for call coverage Certifications:ACLS (AHA),BLS (AHA) StateLicenses:Michigan
