ICU Nurse – Intensive Care Unit

Tripod Partners are seeking skilled ICU Nurses to join the Intensive Care Unit in Swindon. This is a full-time role with 7-day availability, offering a minimum 3-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialist nursing care to critically ill patients in an ICU setting, ensuring optimal recovery.
• Provide continuous monitoring of patients’ vital signs and respond swiftly to any deteriorations.
• Administer life-saving interventions, including ventilator management, advanced airway support, and fluid resuscitation.
• Collaborate with doctors, anesthetists, and physiotherapists to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
• Manage sedation protocols, medication administration, and complex pain management strategies.
• Adhere to infection control policies and best practices to maintain a safe clinical environment.

Position Details:

• Location: Swindon
• Work Pattern: Full-time, 7 days a week (Days, Nights, and Weekends)
• Contract Length: 3 months minimum
• Rates:
  • Weekday: £26.00 per hour
  • Nights & Saturdays: £32.00 per hour
  • Sundays & Bank Holidays: £40.00 per hour
• Pay Type: Umbrella or PAYE available

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with active NMC registration.
• Extensive experience in an ICU or High Dependency Unit (HDU).
• Ability to assess, plan, and deliver high-acuity nursing care under pressure.
• Competence in handling emergency situations, advanced airway management, and circulatory support.
