Position Overview
Our staffing agency is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in fast-paced and high-stress environments. The ideal candidate will be adept at critical thinking, quick decision-making, and delivering compassionate care to patients with diverse and urgent medical needs.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care and Assessment

Perform rapid and thorough assessments of patients presenting to the emergency room.
Prioritize care based on acuity and manage multiple patients simultaneously.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by physicians.
Emergency Response and Management

Respond promptly to life-threatening situations, including trauma, cardiac arrest, and respiratory distress.
Operate and monitor medical equipment, such as cardiac monitors, ventilators, and IV pumps.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to stabilize critically ill or injured patients.
Documentation and Communication

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and outcomes.
Relay critical information to other departments during patient transfers or admissions.
Compliance and Safety

Adhere to hospital policies, state regulations, and best practices in emergency nursing.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Professional Development and Teamwork

Stay current with advances in emergency medicine and attend required training sessions.
Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
Support and mentor other staff members as needed.
Qualifications

Active and unrestricted RN license in [State].
Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience.
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.
Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and ability to perform under pressure.
Work Environment
This position requires working in a dynamic ER environment where priorities change rapidly based on patient needs. Shifts may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with potential for on-call responsibilities.
