Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
Patient Admission Process
Conduct initial assessments of patients, including medical history, vital signs, and current condition.
Verify patient identity and admission documentation, ensuring all required forms are complete and accurate.
Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to confirm admission orders and care plans.
Coordination and Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and families during the admission process.
Provide clear explanations of admission procedures, hospital policies, and patient rights.
Coordinate with departments such as billing, registration, and nursing units to ensure a smooth transition.
Clinical Documentation
Accurately document patient assessments, medical history, and admission details in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and accrediting standards.
Maintain detailed records to support continuity of care and quality assurance initiatives.
Patient Advocacy and Support
Address patient concerns and questions with empathy and professionalism.
Provide guidance on next steps, including pre-operative preparations, inpatient care, or discharge instructions, as needed.
Advocate for patient needs to ensure a positive healthcare experience.
Operational Efficiency
Assist in streamlining admission workflows to reduce wait times and improve patient satisfaction.

Qualifications
Active and unrestricted RN license in [State].
