  • Deliver statutory social work duties for Cheshire West and Chester Council, working with children and families across Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children pathways.

  • Conduct timely, thorough assessments under the Children Act 1989, ensuring child-centred and strengths-based approaches to inform effective care planning.

  • Build positive relationships with children, young people, and families, ensuring their voices are central to all decisions and interventions.

  • Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for child protection conferences, statutory reviews, and court proceedings, adhering to local and national standards.

  • Collaborate closely with multi-agency partners including health, education, and voluntary services to deliver coordinated safeguarding and support.

  • Participate in regular supervision, reflective practice, and professional development to maintain high standards within Cheshire West and Chester’s Children’s Services.
