Job Title: Pharmacist – Band 8a
Location: Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – HMP Bedford
Area: Bedfordshire NHS
Salary: Band 8a (£30.00 – £40.00 per hour, dependent on experience)
Job Type: Locum
Contract Length: Ongoing

Job Details:
Full-time Pharmacist required to deliver comprehensive medicines management services within a hospital and mental health setting.

Duties:

  • Provide expert pharmaceutical advice, including management of substance misuse and mental health medications.

  • Ensure compliance with medicines legislation, local policies, and risk management procedures.

  • Support the multidisciplinary treatment team in optimizing patient care.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy services and protocols.

Skills/Experience:

  • Registered Pharmacist with relevant NHS experience.

  • Knowledge of mental health and substance misuse medications.

  • Strong communication and teamworking skills within a multidisciplinary environment.

  • Experience in hospital pharmacy practice preferred.

Working Hours: Full-time.
