KPG Healthcare is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a permanent position. As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in assessing and treating individuals with communication and swallowing disorders, helping them improve their quality of life and achieve their communication goals. Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification: CCC-SLP certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is required. Additional certifications or specialization in areas such as pediatric speech therapy or fluency disorders may be preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience as an SLP is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing a variety of speech therapy techniques.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and the ability to establish therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to ethical and confidentiality standards.
  • Physical Requirements: Capable of standing for extended periods, assisting patients with physical activities, and performing evaluations and treatments..

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, and establish accurate diagnoses.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that include evidence-based interventions to address patients’ specific communication and swallowing needs.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Administer speech therapy sessions, including articulation therapy, language therapy, voice therapy, fluency therapy, and dysphagia therapy.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on speech and language disorders, communication strategies, and home exercises to promote progress and independence.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate patients’ progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and set achievable communication goals.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, while adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, educators, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Swallowing Assessment: Perform swallow evaluations and provide recommendations for dietary modifications and safe swallowing strategies.
  • Assistive Technology: Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and assistive technologies to enhance patients’ communication abilities.
  • Continuing Education: Stay updated with the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and professional development.
