KPG Healthcare is seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Tech for a permanent position. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials and specialized equipment to help diagnose and treat various medical conditions. Your expertise in nuclear medicine and commitment to patient care will make you a valuable asset to our healthcare partners.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program or related field.
  • Certification: Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT (N).
  • Licensure: State licensure or certification as required by the state of practice.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Nuclear Medicine Tech is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine equipment and image processing software.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication Skills, empathy, and a patient-centered approach.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality MRI images and maintain accurate records.
  • Professionalism: ;Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to ethical and confidentiality standards.
  • Physical Requirements: Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting patients when necessary, and adhering to safety precautions. ;

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Preparation: Prepare and educate patients about nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring their understanding and cooperation.
  • Radiopharmaceutical Administration: Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients orally, intravenously, or through other appropriate routes as directed by the physician.
  • Imaging Procedures: Operate gamma cameras, SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) scanners, and other specialized nuclear medicine equipment to capture images of the target area
  • Quality Control: Perform quality control checks on equipment, radiopharmaceuticals, and imaging results to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Radiation Safety: Follow strict radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary radiation exposure.
  • Image Processing: Process and enhance nuclear medicine images using computer software to produce clear and diagnostic results.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of procedures, patient information, and radiation dosages, adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Patient Care: Monitor patients during procedures, providing reassurance and support, and responding to any adverse reactions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging findings and patient diagnoses.
  • Continuing Education: Stay current with the latest advancements in nuclear medicine through ongoing education and professional development.
