Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist – Band 6
Location: Lewisham Council, 32 Rushey Green, Catford, South East London Social Services

Role Overview:
Social care-qualified OT to manage and deliver occupational therapy services for Children and Young People. The role includes supervisory responsibilities, service development, and ensuring compliance with legislation (e.g., Chronically Sick & Disabled Persons Act 1970) and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise OT services across multiple areas (rehab, housing/adaptations, children with disabilities, telecare, early intervention, or intermediate care).

Deputize for Operational Managers where required.

Monitor and ensure OT practice meets COT professional standards.

Advise on service development and best practice.
Experience/Skills Required:

Qualified OT with experience in social care and children’s services.

Leadership and supervisory experience.

Knowledge of relevant legislation and professional standards.
