Shift times are 8am and 9am
Radiology department nursing consists of prep and recovery of procedural patients, moderate sedation in Interventional Radiology for CT, US, and IR cases. It is both inpatient and outpatient care. MRI monitoring of pacemaker patients, anxiolysis for exams and medication administration for nuclear med patients
Special Procedures/Unit Details: biopsies, tubes, lines, drains, lytics, thrombectomies, neuro, body, vascular, liver embolizations
Special Equipment: Air pal for safe patient movement in IR rooms; ceiling lifts in CT rooms; NK monitors with EtCO2 monitorin
Average Daily Census: 40
Staffing Ratios: Days 1:5
Certifications Required: ACLS, BCLS
Certifications Preferred: NIH
Skills Required: Conscious sedation, IV start, Telemetry
Skills Preferred: ICP
Minimum 1 year experience required
